Duties

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, fillings, and extractions.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnostic purposes.
Manage patient records using dental software such as Open Dental.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments and manage the front desk as needed, including handling patient inquiries.
Monitor and record vital signs as part of patient assessments.
Support pediatric dentistry procedures with a friendly approach to ensure comfort for young patients.
Assist in prosthodontics and endodontics procedures, providing necessary support to the dentist.

Skills

Proficiency in dental software applications such as Opendental is preferred.
Knowledge of infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Experience with medical imaging techniques, particularly X-ray technology.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices to effectively engage with younger patients.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
A proactive attitude towards learning new techniques in prosthodontics and endodontics.
