Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient interactions, and maintain a sterile environment while adhering to infection control protocols.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including but not limited to examinations, cleanings, and restorative work.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards.
Take and develop dental X-rays as required.
Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
Manage patient scheduling, including confirming appointments and following up on treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain an organized and clean work area to ensure optimal patient comfort.
Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for patient management and record keeping.
Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach to create a positive experience.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assisting program is preferred.
Certification in Dental Assisting (CDA) is a plus.
Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is desirable.
Knowledge of infection control protocols and practices in a dental setting.
Familiarity with prosthodontics procedures is advantageous.
Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding medical coding related to dental procedures.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, particularly children in pediatric settings.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $22.31 - $25.00 per hour
