Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Las Vegas, NV

We are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and providing exceptional dental care in a friendly and supportive environment. As a Pediatric Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our young patients feel comfortable and safe during their dental visits while assisting the dentist with various procedures.
Duties
Assist the doctor during examinations and procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Perform medical documentation accurately, maintaining patient records in accordance with practice protocols.
Utilize Dentrix Ascend software for scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and billing processes.
Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff.
Understand and apply dental terminology effectively when communicating with patients and team members.
Take X-rays as directed by the dentist, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.
Conduct infection control measures to prevent cross-contamination within the practice.
Provide excellent patient care by reassuring children during their visits, explaining procedures in an age-appropriate manner, and addressing any concerns from parents.
Requirements
Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend software is advantageous.
Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in a dental setting.
Proficiency in dental terminology to facilitate effective communication within the team and with patients.
Ability to take X-rays safely and efficiently as per state regulations.
A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a genuine love for working with children are essential traits for this role.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
