Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Northampton, MA

Northampton Dental Specialists Group is a well established General Dental practice! We have a great dental team and office culture. We are seeking a full time Licensed Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. Responsibilities include greeting and preparing patients for dental procedures, including recording medical/dental histories, four-handed dental assisting techniques, current Infection Control Compliance, and exposing high-quality digital radiographs and flexibility. Skill in providing excellent customer service and support; ability to multi-task and work as a positive team player. Position requires a current MA Dental Assistant Registration, Radiology Certification, computer literacy, CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association; BLS for Health Care Providers required. We have two dental operatories and two assistants for each doctor plus a surgical suite. Compensation will be based on experience.
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures- Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments- Take good quality digital dental X-rays
-Take impressions and pour models, 3D scanner for Invisalign- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures- Maintain accurate detailed patient records- Perform infection control procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment- Assist with prosthodontics procedures- Support pediatric dentistry and general dentistry services- Practice four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care- Handle coding and documentation related to dental procedures, setting complete treatment, printing treatment plans
Qualifications:- Completion of a dental assistant program (preferred)- X-Ray certification- Knowledge of dental coding and documentation practices- Experience working in a dental practice setting is a plus- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with patients in a professional manner- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
