OverviewThis is for a Smyrna Dental Office. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Office hours: Monday-Thursday 8 AM - 4:30 PM (Closed Friday)
Duties

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including endodontics and prosthodontics.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized.
Perform four-handed dentistry to enhance workflow and patient comfort.
Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient records using dental software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care tailored to younger patients.

Experience

2+ years experience required.
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
Experience with Eaglesoft or Epic software is a plus.
Knowledge of infection control practices within a dental setting is highly valued.
Ability to perform vital signs monitoring is beneficial.
