Registered Dental Hygienist - Hippler Family Dentistry - Lakewood, OH

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral health, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional care.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and oral health evaluations.
Perform dental cleanings and scaling procedures to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Document patient care accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Stay current with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dental hygiene practices.

Requirements

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of infection control practices and procedures.
Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and general dentistry concepts.
Experience or knowledge in pediatrics is a plus.
Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and medical coding is preferred.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
