Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients (mostly adults), ensuring their comfort and safety while performing various dental hygiene procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Duties

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of maintaining good dental health.
Review patient documentation and medical history to provide personalized care.
Assist in the development of treatment plans based on patient needs and preferences.
Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety and infection control.
Perform vital signs checks as necessary before treatments.
Maintain accurate records of patient treatments using Dentrix or similar dental software for documentation review.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to ensure a seamless workflow in the dental office.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and medical terminology.

Qualifications

Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with GA state regulations.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques.
Familiarity with Dentrix dental practice management software is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to patients.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring accurate documentation and patient care.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
