Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our dental team by providing exceptional patient care and assisting with various dental procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and proficiency in using dental systems such as Patterson eaglesoft and 3D scanners.
Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information within the practice management system.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties when required.
Ensure compliance with infection control standards and maintain a clean working environment.
Support prosthodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting during treatments.

Requirements

Knowledge of dental terminology and infection control practices is essential.
Experience with Dentrix software or similar dental management systems is preferred.
Familiarity with prosthodontics and experience in dental assisting are highly desirable.
Ability to take X-rays and maintain accurate medical records.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
A proactive attitude towards learning new techniques and technologies, including the use of 3D scanners.
