Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in the overall management of patient health. This role requires a strong understanding of general dentistry practices, medical terminology, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and aseptic environment for our patients.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations while ensuring patient comfort.
Assess patientsâ oral health by reviewing medical records and taking vital signs.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care practices.
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient assessments in the clinic's systems.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a safe working environment in accordance with health regulations.
Provide care for pediatric patients, adapting approaches to meet their unique needs.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of general dentistry principles and practices.
Proficiency in medical terminology related to dental care.
Experience with patient assessment and management in a clinical setting.
Familiarity with dental clinic systems for managing medical records effectively.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to educate patients clearly and compassionately.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating exceptional patient care skills.
