What to expect as a Dental Hygienist at Austin Dental Company:

Arrive on time for morning huddle to start the day off on a positive note!
Create a warm and welcoming environment for each patient, ensuring their comfort
Prepare the treatment room for patients by adhering to current procedures and protocols.
Take panoramic and digital radiographs correctly & schedule patients.
Perform initial mouth screenings, review oral health history, and assess medical history during appointments
Identify and diagnose periodontal conditions such as gingivitis and periodontitis
Work with the doctor to problem solve, take care of patients and meet their oral health care needs.
Conduct dental prophylaxis, scaling/root planing, and fluoride applications.
Use our available technology (itero, intraoral camera, digital xrays, etc..) to educate patients of all ages on the current state of their oral health and emphasize proper oral hygiene practices
Chart Patient notes during exam and treatment presentation and educate patients empathetically to value oral hygiene

Dental Hygienist Requirements:

Registered Dental Hygienist License
1 year experience is appreciated but not necessary

Dental Hygienist Schedule:

Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (1 hour lunch break)
Average 6 to 8 patients per day

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
