Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, patient assessment, and aseptic techniques. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with dentists and dental assistants in a collaborative environment to promote oral health and educate patients on proper dental care.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and vital signs.
Conduct professional cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth using appropriate tools and techniques.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatment plans, progress notes, and any necessary follow-up care.
Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols within the dental clinic.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and optimal patient experience.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education as required.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Proficiency in documentation review and maintaining patient records accurately.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about their oral health.
Ability to work well within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
