OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about patient care and committed to providing high-quality dental hygiene services. This role involves working closely with patients to ensure their comfort and understanding of oral health practices while performing essential hygiene duties in a supportive environment.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assess patientsâ periodontal health and take vital signs as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft or similar dental software.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide four-handed dentistry during procedures.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a positive experience for young patients.
Assist with medical coding and documentation as required.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience in a dental office setting is preferred, with familiarity in infection control practices.
Knowledge of Eaglesoft or similar dental management software is a plus.
Strong skills in patient care, including the ability to manage patient anxiety and provide comfort during treatments.
Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding basic medical history relevant to dental care.
Previous experience in dental assisting is advantageous but not mandatory.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate patients effectively.
