Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients about oral hygiene. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures and excellent communication skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
Take and develop dental x-rays as needed.
Review and maintain accurate medical records, including documentation of patient care and treatment plans.
Assist in the management of patient appointments and follow-up care.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Monitor vital signs and assess overall patient health prior to procedures.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Requirements

Valid RDH License
CPR
X-ray Certificate
1-3 years clinical experience with hygiene and non-surgical periodontal care
Familiarity with digital x-rays
Competence with licensed duties: prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planning, administer local anesthesia, sealants, etc.
Comfortable using computers for a variety of tasks
Experience with Dentrix a plus, but not a requirement
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Excellent co-diagnosis talents and great interpersonal skills
Proven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines
Sterilize dental instruments properly
