Dental Assistant - NELSON FAMILY DENTISTRY - Wheeling, WV

Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Take and record patients' vital signs- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations- Take dental x-rays for the dentist's review- Provide post-operative instructions to patients- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records- Assist with scheduling and confirming appointments
Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program- Knowledge of dental anatomy and medical terminology- Proficiency in using dental software (e.g., Epic) for patient documentation- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
