Dental Assistant II - UK St. Claire - Morehead, KY

This position includes a $3,000 sign-on bonus!
The Dental Assistant II, under the direct supervision of the Primary Care Dentist, assists the dentist with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Operates dental radiographic equipment for oral radiography, which requires proper patient positioning and application of radiation protection devices.
Packages and sterilizes instruments according to policy and procedure and prepares instruments to be sent to SPD for sterilization.
Makes referral and/or consult appointments and schedules patients for outpatient procedures, obtaining pre-authorizations and/or pre-certifications for insurance purposes as appropriate.
Uses Dental Software to maintain patient records, schedule appointments, post charges, and collect fees.

Education: High school graduate or equivalent required
Experience: Two years dental assisting experience required
Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and dental x-rays required within 90 days of hire
