Dental Assistant Floater - Amelia Gentle Dentistry - Jacksonville, FL

The Dental Assistant Floater position is a vital role within our dental practice, responsible for assisting licensed dentists in providing high-quality patient care. This position involves a variety of tasks that ensure the smooth operation of the dental office, including both clinical and clerical duties.
Manage patient flow and pre/post operative care
Setup and breakdown operatory pre/post treatment
Take x-rays in compliance with the ALARA principal
Provide patient education
Fabricate quality temporary crowns
Perform quality impressions and bite registrations
Perform quality digital intraoral scans
Support patient charting
Manage infection control – prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
Treatment plan presentation, providing payment options if required

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program.
Proficiency in dental terminology and infection control practices.
Experience with medical coding is a plus but not required.
Familiarity with Dentrix software is advantageous.
Ability to take X-rays and knowledge of safety protocols related to radiography.
Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
