Registered Dental Hygienist - Shumway Family Dental - Burlington, WI

Shumway Family Dental, with locations in Slinger and Kewaskum, is expanding! We are a fun, dynamic team, and are looking to add more energetic, passionate, and kind individuals to our Hygiene Team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Responsibilities:
- Perform dental prophylaxis, including scaling, polishing, and debridement
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including oral health screenings and medical history reviews
- Take dental x-rays and develop them for diagnostic purposes
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments and maintaining a sterile field
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive dental care
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology and techniques
Requirements:
- Valid state dental hygiene license
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Experience working in a dental office setting preferred
- Proficient in using dental software
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
