Job SummaryIf you are looking for a hygienist position with flexibility and great hours, then this job is for you! We are seeking a friendly, caring and out going hygienist for a full or part time position. We are a small dental practice owned by one dentist. The office is newly renovated with State of the Art Equipment. You will love it at our patient oriented and caring practice! No rushed appointments and quality time with all patients. New Patient Appointments 90 min, Adult Recall 60 min and Child Recall 30 min. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining optimal oral health. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing various clinical tasks, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and adhering to strict infection control protocols.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations using appropriate techniques and tools.
Assess patients' oral health by reviewing medical records and taking medical histories.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the management of patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Maintain infection control protocols in accordance with industry standards.
Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
Utilize dental software systems for record management.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and general dentistry.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist in a clinical setting is required.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
Knowledge of infection control procedures and compliance with safety regulations and HIPPA is required.
Proficiency in using dental clinic management systems, particularly Eaglesoft , is highly desirable
BLS Certificate
South Carolina Dental Hygiene License required
