Dental Hygienist - Valley Dental Group - Columbus, OH

Job OverviewWe are a well-established 3 Dentist private practice located in Akron, OH in search of a part-time Hygienist (2-3 days/week). Along with competitive pay, we have flexibility in allowing the Hygienists to customize their work schedule to what fits their desired work/life balance. Applicants must be a R.D.H. with an outgoing personality and willingness to help patients improve their oral health.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Conduct patient assessments to evaluate oral health and identify potential issues.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment following aseptic techniques.
Document patient information accurately in the dental office management software, such as Dentrix.
Collaborate with dentists and other staff members to ensure seamless patient care.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and general dentistry practices.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and aseptic techniques.
Experience in a dental office setting is preferred; prior dental assisting experience is a plus.
Familiarity with pediatrics is advantageous for working with younger patients.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $46.67 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
