Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the dental team.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages.
Review and document patient medical histories and current medications.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Assist in the diagnosis of oral diseases by reviewing medical records and conducting assessments.
Collaborate with Dr. Watwe to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments in Open Dental (dental software similar to Dentrix and Eaglesoft).
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
Experience with dental assisting is preferred but not required.
Proficiency in using Open Dental, Dentrix, or similar dental management software is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Aseptic technique knowledge is essential for maintaining infection control standards.
Previous experience in general dentistry or pediatrics is advantageous but not mandatory.
