Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, ensuring their comfort, and promoting oral health education. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides to help protect teeth.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Review patient medical histories and maintain accurate records in Dentrix or similar software.
Collaborate with other dental professionals to provide comprehensive care, including pediatric and general dentistry services.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Skills

Proficient in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, with an understanding of how to engage younger patients effectively.
Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures.
Strong skills in four-handed dentistry to assist dentists efficiently during procedures.
Knowledge of documentation review processes to ensure compliance with standards.
Previous experience in dental assisting is beneficial for seamless integration into the team.
Proficient in using Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to educate patients clearly about their oral health.
