Registered Dental Hygienist - Turlock Dental Arts - Turlock, CA

Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth- Take and develop dental x-rays- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed- Conduct thorough dental assessments and screenings- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history and treatment plans- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
Skills:
- Proficient in pediatric dental hygiene techniques- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy protection- Experience in dental assisting, including chairside assistance during procedures- Ability to accurately document medical information using electronic health record systems Dentrix- Competency in taking vital signs and recording patient information- Familiarity with dental practice management software, such as Dentrix, for scheduling and billing purposes- Understanding of medical coding practices for insurance claims processing
