Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist for every other FRIDAY to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. This position involves working closely with Dr. Spainhower and a hygiene assistant to deliver comprehensive dental services in a friendly and professional environment.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and assessments, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take medical histories and maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Assist in four-handed dentistry procedures, providing support to the dentist during treatments.
Manage dental office tasks, including scheduling appointments and maintaining inventory of dental supplies.
Stay updated on dental terminology, procedures, and best practices to enhance patient care.
Collaborate with the team to provide pediatric dentistry services when required.

Experience

New graduate or experienced Dental Hygienist is acceptable.
Familiarity with PracticeWorks or similar dental software is a plus.
Knowledge of medical records management and patient care protocols is essential.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are required.
