Responsibilities

As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive dental cleanings, conducting patient assessments and educating our patients on effective oral hygiene practices.
Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible during their appointments.
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history.
Take digital X-rays
Identify conditions like gingivitis and periodontist
Clean and help protect patients teeth
Assist dentist with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases
Maintain computer documentation and charts on each patient
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Monitor supplies

Qualifications

In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality
Attention to detail
Diploma in Dental Hygiene
Valid license to practice in the state of Iowa
Registered Dental Hygiene license (Required)
CPR certification (Current)
