Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Chico, CA
Job SummaryWe are looking for a friendly, outgoing, talented hygienist with a good sense of humor to join our dental family. Come see what we have to offer in our modern private practice. We are looking to hire someone who is a team player for a full time position to work Monday through Thursday. The full time position includes 401K retirement, paid vacation, sick leave, paid holidays and health insurance stipend. Open to Part-time/ splitting days between two hygienists.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history review and oral examinations.
Conduct dental cleanings, scaling, and root planning procedures while adhering to aseptic techniques.
Utilize medical imaging technology to capture diagnostic images as needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software (experience with Dentrix is a plus).
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow within the dental office.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Requirements
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficiency in general dentistry procedures and knowledge of dental terminology.
Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required.
Strong skills in patient assessment and communication to effectively interact with patients of all ages.
Previous experience in dental assisting or working within a dental office setting is advantageous.
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
