OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic, providing exceptional patient care, and assisting the Hygienist and dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and excellent interpersonal skills to create a welcoming environment for patients.
Duties

Assist the dentist/ hygienist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Perform medical imaging tasks, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Manage dental clinic operations, including sterilization of instruments, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness in the treatment areas.
Utilize dental software such as Open dental for scheduling appointments and managing patient information.
Provide education to patients regarding oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
End of day closing duties

Experience

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
Familiarity with medical coding and documentation processes is advantageous.
Proficiency in using dental practice management software (Open dental) is a plus.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
