Dental Hygienist - Urban Dental Group - Seattle, WA

Job OverviewWe are seeking a par time dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, focusing on preventive oral health. You will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional care. Days of work could be flexible. Ideally Thursday and Fridays are prefered.
Duties

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients of all ages, including pediatrics.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Document patient treatment plans and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in maintaining infection control protocols and aseptic techniques throughout the practice.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow within the office.
Utilize Dentrix or similar dental office systems for patient management and record keeping.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Skills

Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and hygiene.
Proficiency in infection control measures and aseptic techniques.
Familiarity with medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus.
Experience in dental assisting is advantageous but not mandatory.
Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and work collaboratively with the dental team.
Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
