Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring compliance with all health regulations and standards. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in promoting oral health and educating patients on proper hygiene practices.
Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess the oral health of patients.
Administer preventive dental care, including fluoride treatments and sealants.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient care and treatment plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist in the review of documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping using Eaglesoft or similar software.
Maintain infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to assist in various procedures as needed.
Stay current with dental terminology, infection control practices, and medical coding relevant to the field.

ExperienceCandidates should possess a valid dental hygiene license and have experience working in a dental clinic setting. Familiarity with Eaglesoft software is preferred, along with knowledge of HIPAA compliance, infection control standards, and documentation review processes. Experience in dental assisting is a plus, as well as proficiency in medical coding and understanding of dental terminology. A commitment to ongoing professional development is essential for success in this role.
