Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients while ensuring their comfort and safety. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in educating patients about oral hygiene, conducting assessments, and performing preventive dental procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and excellent interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and oral examinations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures.
Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluoride treatments.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist dentists during examinations and treatments as needed.
Utilize medical imaging techniques to capture diagnostic images.
Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including pediatric dentistry when necessary.

Requirements

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health.
Familiarity with medical coding practices is preferred.
Experience in dental assisting or four-handed dentistry is a plus.
Proficient in patient assessment techniques and understanding of HIPAA regulations.
Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including children.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
