Dental Assistant
We are looking for a reliable and highly-motivated dental assistant to join our growing, family-oriented, private practice dental office. Our compassionate and professional staff is well-known within the community, as we’ve been a mainstay in Sussex for over 40 years! We strive to improve the oral health of our patients through exceptional care, quality education, and by implementing the latest technologies and treatment modalities. Our ideal candidate must be empathetic, outgoing, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator. Experience in dental assisting preferred.
Responsibilities:
-Effectively assist doctor during clinical procedures (and hygienists as needed)
-Apply Fl varnish, and pour diagnostic casts
-Obtain high-quality radiographs (bitewings, PAs, FMX, etc.) per doctor’s recommendation
-Accurately chart patient data on electronic health records (Dentrix) during exams
-Welcome and dismiss patients before and after treatment
-Set-up, disinfect, and break-down of clinic operatories
-Clean and sterilize instruments
-Set-up trays for doctor and hygienists
-Chairside scheduling of return visits or recall appointments
-Establish and maintain strong relationships with patients and team members
-Clean reception area, break room, dental lab, and clinic operatories during down time
Qualifications:
-High School Diploma or GED
-CPR and Radiology Certification (preferred)
-1-year dental assisting experience (preferred)
-An open mind, positive attitude, and willingness to learn

-3.5-day work week ( Tuesday off) and every other Friday 7:30a.m -1 p.m

Schedule:
-32-hour work week
-Monday 8am-5pm, Wednesday 10am-7pm, Tuesdays Off, Thursday 8am-5pm, Every other Friday 7:30am-1pm
-One Saturday per month 8am-1pm
