Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic pediatric dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong commitment to infection control and patient assessment, ensuring that all patients receive the best possible care in a comfortable environment.
Duties

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health.
Take and record vital signs as part of the patient assessment process.
Assist dentists with four-handed dentistry during procedures to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Perform medical imaging as required, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Document patient information accurately, including medical coding and treatment records within the practice's systems.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care and support.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Experience working in a dental office setting is preferred.
Proficient in taking vital signs and performing patient assessments.
Knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques is advantageous.
Familiarity with infection control standards and practices.
Experience with medical imaging technology is a plus.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to educate patients effectively about their oral health.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
