OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties when necessary.
Support various specialties including prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, and general dentistry.
Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to facilitate effective communication with patients and team members.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is a plus.
Knowledge of 3D scanning technology is advantageous.
Strong understanding of dental anatomy, medical terminology, and procedures related to general dentistry and pediatric dentistry.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a busy environment.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
