Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to the pediatric dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our young patients. Your expertise in dental assisting will help facilitate efficient patient care while promoting positive dental experiences for children.
Duties

Assist the dentist during various pediatric dental procedures, employing four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use.
Take and record vital signs to monitor patient health before, during, and after procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient treatments and progress.
Educate patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Adhere to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment.
Support the dentist with prosthodontics procedures as needed.
Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere for children in the clinic.

Requirements

Previous experience as a pediatric dental assistant, or general dental assistant being great with children and teens. .
Proficient understanding of terminology relevant to dental care.
Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children and their families.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating compassion and patience.
Familiarity with orthodontics is highly desirable.
Spanish speaking is highly desirable.
