OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting orthodontists during procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Assist orthodontists during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Perform medical imaging and take X-rays as needed.
Utilize 3D scanners for accurate impressions and treatment planning.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and records, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for procedures.
Conduct four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance workflow efficiency.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage patient flow and assist with scheduling appointments as needed.
Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure seamless patient interactions.

Qualifications

Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Proficiency in dental terminology and understanding of medical records management.
Strong skills in assisting with dental procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques.
Experience with medical imaging technologies, including X-ray and 3D scanning equipment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
Fluent in Spanish is a plus
