Responsibilities

Assist in the documentation review process to maintain accurate patient records.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Utilize Open Dental software for patient management and medical coding as necessary.
Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education.

Experience

A valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist is required.
Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with anatomy knowledge relevant to dental hygiene practices is advantageous.
Experience with patient care techniques, including assessment and infection control measures, is essential.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Open Dental is a plus but can be learned on the job.
