Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental care.
Take medical histories and record patient information accurately in the system.
Assist in the management of medical records and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to assist dentists during procedures effectively.
Conduct medical imaging as necessary, including X-rays, to aid in diagnosis.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, particularly in pediatric dentistry settings.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the dental clinic.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Experience with Dentrix is preferred.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Previous experience in dental assisting or related roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
