Registered Dental Hygienist - Hillside Dental - Clearfield, UT

Job Summary:Our hygienist of 25 years has purchased her own dental practice so she is moving on to her own new adventure!
We are open to single or double booked schedule depending on your preference (pay will reflect work load). We would like to find a hygienist who can work Monday, , Thursday, and Friday. We can split the three days between different hygienists if you prefer fewer than 3 days.
Responsibilities:- Perform dental cleanings to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth- Take and develop dental x-rays for diagnostic purposes- Administer local anesthesia to patients as needed- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments and materials- Conduct preliminary examinations of patients' oral health, including checking for signs of gum disease or other dental issues- Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic- Follow strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff- Stay up-to-date with advancements in dental technology, techniques, and regulations
Experience:- Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred- Proficiency in medical imaging software for capturing and analyzing dental x-rays- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic for accurate documentation- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and practices- Understanding of medical coding and billing procedures related to dental services- Solid understanding of anatomy, particularly oral anatomy- Ability to measure vital signs accurately and record them in patient charts- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral hygiene practices and answer their questions- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dental procedures and conditions
