Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office while providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take dental X-rays as required and ensure proper documentation of images.
Maintain accurate medical records, including medical documentation and vital signs.
Utilize dental terminology effectively in communication with patients and staff.
Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments and coordinating treatment plans.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, updating medical records, and using software like Epic for patient management.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of dental terminology, medical coding, and medical terminology is advantageous.
Familiarity with taking vital signs and managing medical records.
Proficiency in performing X-Ray procedures safely and effectively.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate documentation.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while providing excellent patient care.
Certification in dental assisting is a plus but not mandatory.
