Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental practice by assisting the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment. This position is essential for delivering high-quality dental care and enhancing the overall patient experience.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including general dentistry tasks.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Take and record vital signs of patients as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with clinic protocols.
Understand and utilize dental terminology effectively for communication with patients and staff.
Provide chairside assistance, ensuring patient comfort throughout their visit.
Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene, and preventive measures.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure the clinic is well-stocked.
Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures within the dental clinic.
Qualifications
Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures.
Familiarity with medical documentation systems and patient record management.
Strong understanding of anatomy related to dental health.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient interaction.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
