Dental Assistant - Cazenovia Dental - New York, NY

Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments- Take dental x-rays- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate medical documentation- Assist with dental lab tasks, including pouring and trimming models- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records using Dental Practice Management Software- Provide support to the front desk staff as needed
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program- X-ray certification required- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred- Proficiency in dental coding and dental records management- Strong communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
