OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our casual dental practice. Our office maintains a low stress, friendly environment. We are a low volume, individual care type office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting with various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow, and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients.
Duties

Assist dentist during examinations and procedures as needed, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are cleaned, sterilized, prepared and ready for use.
Perform X-ray imaging , pour dental stone models, and adhere to safety protocols.
Apply aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment, clean, package and sterilize various dental instruments.
Perform and maintain a clean, tidy, work place; including patient operatories, laboratory and all work and patient areas.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ensuring that the practice is well-stocked at all times.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide excellent patient care in a friendly and efficient manner.
Stay updated on dental terminology, medical coding, and general dentistry practices to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

Long term experience as a Dental Assistant
Friendly, family oriented, dependable, caring and articulate
Familiarity with dental terminology, dental documentation is preferred; and aseptic /sterilization techniques are essential.
Proficiency in using X-ray equipment and understanding of dental imaging .
Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
