A Day In the Life Of:

What You Will Be Doing:

4-handed chairside assisting

Completing fillings, taking impressions, making temporary crowns, adjusting occlusal guards and other appliances, sterilization, taking x-rays and intraoral pictures, and turning over patient rooms by OSHA standards

Delivering patient education

Creating treatment plans

Keeping patient medical records up to date by following templates to record updated medical histories, medications, and progress notes

Helping co-workers during any downtime

Work Hours:

Monday through Thursday: 7:40 AM – 6 PM (with a 1-hour lunch)

Education Requirements:

Successful completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent on-the-job training

Current CPR, x-ray, and coronal polishing certifications

Excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
