Our office is looking to hire a Part-time dental hygienist for Mondays through Thursdays. You will have the ability to create your own schedule. Choose to work 1, 2, or 3 days a week and keep your autonomy. We are a small, privately owned dental office with a no drama, close knit team. Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures preferred. Dentrix and Dexis experience is a plus. Our office is located in St. Louis, close to Hwy 55 and Butler Hill Road.
Monday to Thursday
7-24 hours per week
Duties include â
Perform thorough dental cleanings and oral examinations - Take and develop dental x-rays - Administer local anesthesia and apply fluoride treatments - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques - Assist the dentist during procedures as needed - Conduct patient assessments and document medical history - Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix/Dexis software - Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment - Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care Requirements: - Valid state dental hygiene license - Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health principles - Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including taking vital signs - Familiarity with medical coding and documentation systems - Experience with Dentrix software for patient record management - Ability to operate medical imaging equipment for dental x-rays - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
This position may lead to a future full-time position if candidate desires.
