Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. You will work closely with the dental team to deliver comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on oral health practices, and maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
Duties
Perform thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and conducting oral examinations.
Clean teeth and apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient care in compliance with practice protocols.
Implement infection control procedures following established guidelines to ensure patient safety.
Utilize aseptic techniques during dental procedures to minimize the risk of infection.
Assist in pediatric dentistry as needed, providing care tailored to younger patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans that meet individual patient needs.
Skills
Proficiency in general dentistry practices and procedures.
Experience working in a dental office setting with familiarity in using Dentrix software.
Strong skills in patient assessment and care, ensuring a compassionate approach to treatment.
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental practices.
Ability to implement effective infection control measures and aseptic techniques.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient education and interaction.
