OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care while ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety in our practice. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in patient assessment, education, and the overall oral health of our patients. This is a part time position (Mondays and Wednesdays) that offers potential for a full time role.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and oral health evaluations.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures with precision and care.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records and document patient treatments in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment for all procedures.
Assist in pediatric dental care, providing a comfortable experience for young patients.
Collaborate with dentists to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Stay updated on dental terminology, practices, and advancements in the field to enhance patient care.

Requirements

Valid California Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations.
Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix for managing patient records and appointments.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient education and comfort.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
Familiarity with dental office protocols and best practices for infection control.
