Dental Assistant (RDA) for children - Prairie Kids Dental - West Jefferson, OH

Current opening for a board registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or board eligible DA to join our team at Prairie Kids Dental! Minimum 3 years experience required.

Responsibilities include:
- taking digital x-rays and using electronic records- Assist the dentist during dental procedures and surgeries- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations- Take and record patient medical and dental history- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- must be willing (and eligible) to obtain certification in coronal polishing and sealants
Cross training
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent experience- Proficiency in using dental software systems- Strong infection control practices and knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA regulations- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
Skills:- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills- Ability to work well in a team environment- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
