Job OverviewDr. Herzog is looking for a holistically minded experienced dental assistant who truly values the relationship between dentistry and systemic health. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the dental team in delivering high-quality dental services both traditional and biologic dentistry. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about dentistry and committed to maintaining the health of their patient. Duties
Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper techniques are used for accurate results.
Record vital signs and patient information accurately in the dental software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Manage patient scheduling, including confirming appointments and follow-ups.
Maintain an organized and clean treatment area, adhering to safety standards.
Support the dental team with administrative tasks as needed.
SkillsThe ideal candidate should possess the following skills:
Proficiency in dental software such as Eaglesoft or Epic.
Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures, including Endodontics and Prosthodontics.
Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques.
Ability to take accurate X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
Strong understanding of infection control measures to ensure patient safety.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
