Overview
We are hiring a Dental Assistant for our office, Kristin Fairbanks DDS, located in Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783. This is a full-time position. Previous dental experience and knowledge of dental terminology is preferred, but not required. We will train the right individual. Knowledge of Dentrix Dental Software is helpful, but not required. Pay range for this position is $17.00-20.00 an hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities
Patient communication
Chairside dental assisting
Sterilization of instruments
Cleaning and setting up treatment rooms
General office cleaning
Taking dental X-rays (we will train on the job and provide necessary certification)

About Kristin Fairbanks DDSKristin Fairbanks DDS is a female-led, independent dental practice. Our team consists of one dentist, one hygienist, three dental assistants, and one front office staff. We care about each other and our patients, striving to treat them like family. Typical office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:00am to 6:00pm.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Experience working in a fast-paced and customer-centric environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task
Ability to follow CDC/MIOSHA Covid19 Guidelines, including wearing a face mask all day if required
Preferred Experience
1+ years of experience in a dental or medical setting
Experience with Dentrix or other dental software
Experience with insurance billing and accounts receivable
Experience with Dentrix or other dental software'
