OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice on Wednesdays from 11am-7pm. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. This position involves working closely with the dental team to ensure optimal oral health for patients of all ages. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical tasks, educating patients on oral hygiene, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Responsibilities

Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Assess patients' oral health by taking vital signs and reviewing medical records.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in accordance with infection control protocols.
Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe working environment for both patients and staff.
Provide specialized care for pediatric patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding during treatments.
Review documentation to ensure compliance with medical terminology and infection control standards.

Skills

Proficient in taking vital signs and understanding their implications for dental care.
Experience with four-handed dentistry practices for efficient patient care assistance.
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to general dentistry practices.
