We are working with the county to offer dental services to youth and underserved adults. We will provide care in a mobile setting in school and public settings and there will be 2 dental assistants in the mobile unit.
Our practice is excited to offer this unique opportunity to a warm, engaging, dentist who loves to smile and cares about patient needs. The care will be offered initially in school-based settings to begin, but will rotate to other locations in Salinas. Routine dental visits include screenings, prophies and fillings. There will be 2 dental assistants in the mobile unit with the dentist. The dentist should be comfortable in all aspect of general dentistry and all documentation is digital. The mobile unit is brand new with modern equipment.
This is an ideal position for a dentist who wants part-time work and is invested in their local community. This opportunity will start with 1-2 days per week and build to 3, possibly 4 days. Daily patient volume will range from 16-20 patients and this includes exams and screening appointments. Experienced, independent and caring dentists are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide high-quality dental care in accordance with established protocols.
Perform dental procedures including fillings, cleanings, screenings, extractions, and pediatric dentistry as needed.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient office operations and patient satisfaction.
Stay updated on dental terminology and practices to enhance patient care and office efficiency.
